Betty A. Hart

Betty A. Hart, 91, of Richfield, passed away peacefully at 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, at Brookline Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Mifflintown.

Born April 21, 1933, in Cocolamus, Juniata County, she was the daughter of the late Norman J, Sr. and Susan (Moyer) Ehrenzeller. On March 6, 1950, she married her late husband, Ray Hart, with whom she was blessed to share nearly 70 years of marriage before his passing on Nov. 12, 2019.

She is survived by her children, Judy Koser and husband, Jere of Lebanon, Rodney Hart and wife, Ann, of State College, Del Hart and wife, Robin, of Bellefonte, and Debra Wagner and husband, David, of Elizabethtown; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; a sister Norma Frymoyer, of McAlisterville, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son Matthew, a grandson, Thomas, and five sisters and two brothers

Betty was a long-time member of the East Salem Community Church. She spent more than 40 years working with her husband on their dairy farm and raising their family. She enjoyed crocheting afghans, gardening and visiting with family and friends to play games and cards; she especially loved time spent with her little grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday March 8, 2025, at the East Salem Community Church, 7398 PA-235, Mifflintown, with Pastor Dave McElwee officiating. Interment will take place beside her husband and son at the Richfield Union Cemetery.

A viewing will be held from noon until the time of the funeral service on Saturday at the Church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to the Juniata County Meals on Wheels or the East Salem Community Church, 7398 PA-235, Mifflintown, PA 17059.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville, PA.
