Barbara J. Sharar, 67 years old, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025 at her home in Newport.
She was born Oct. 23, 1957 in Lewistown to the late Harold W. and June (Knepp) Wright.
She was the former manager of the New Bloomfield Mart and many other convenience stores through the years. She loved to cook and was a fan of NASCAR and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Barb is survived by her husband, Vince A. Sharar; brother Randall Wright and his wife Sherry of McClure; cousin Patricia Church and her husband Robert of McClure; sister-in-laws Molly Wright and Wendy Wright Bryner; foster sister LaShawn; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers Robert and Michael Wright and special niece Bonnie and son Zackery. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, March 28, at 11 a.m. at Bucks Church Cemetery, 270 Bucks Church Road, Newport.
