Phyllis B. Weller, 86, of McAlisterville, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025, at Brookline Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Mifflintown.
Born on Jan. 18, 1939, in Mifflin, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Southard C. "Tut" and Iva K. (Kauffman) Beward. On June 15, 1956, she married her late husband, Donald E. Weller, with whom she was blessed to share nearly 60 years of marriage before his passing on May 16, 2016.
She is survived by her daughters, Shari Cogley and her husband Scott, of Mechanicsburg and Terri Leister and her husband Denis, of McAlisterville; four grandchildren, Matthew Leister and his wife Bobbi, Marah Erickson and her husband Shane, Devon Figgins and her husband Doug, and Drew Cogley; and great- grandsons, Maddox Leister, Parker Leister, and Wilder Erickson.
Twin sons, Timothy and Todd Weller and one sister, Barbara J. Beward preceded her in death.
Mrs. Weller was a 1956 graduate of Juniata Joint High School, and was employed and retired from the Juniata County School District.
Phyllis was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, McAlisterville.
She enjoyed crocheting, reading, cooking, baking, painting, and bird watching; however, her greatest joy came from time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 420 Main St., McAlisterville, with Pastor Karen Ward officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, McAlisterville.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral services on Tuesday at the church.
