Marcia K. Goss, 66, of Camp Hill, passed away at her home on Monday, Feb. 3, 2025.
Born on Dec. 8, 1958, in Lewistown Hospital, she was the middle daughter of the late Gerald K. Goss and Carol Goss.
She is survived by her mother, Carol A. (Boonie) Goss. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sisters Sheila Bedell of York and Laura Treaster of Camp Hill, as well as her brother-in-law Larry Treaster II. She is also survived by her nephew, USAF Captain Garrett Treaster and his fiancÈe, USAF Captain Melissa Biel, both of Valdosta, GA, and her niece, Kaitlyn Treaster, of Camp Hill.
Marcia graduated from Chief Logan High School in 1976. After high school, she attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
After gaining experience in a local family-owned men's clothing store in Indiana, she went to work for The Oak Tree, a men's clothing store in Pittsburgh. After several years with them, she went to work for TJ Maxx. She worked her way up from a salesperson to assistant store manager to store manager at various locations in the Pittsburgh area. She then worked at one of their stores in New York City before moving to St. Louis to become one of their fashion merchandisers.
Because she wanted to move to be closer to family, she decided to accept a position as store manager in Frederick, MD, before eventually moving even closer to be the store manager in Mechanicsburg. After many years with TJ Maxx, she made a career switch to accept a position at Youth Advocate Program (YAP). She worked in many capacities with their non-profit, eventually ending up as Board Liaison and Travel Assistant for their board of directors before her passing.
A service of celebration will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lewistown at 120 N. Main Street at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15. A luncheon will be served immediately after the service at the church for those in attendance.
A private interment for family only will be held later.
