Gale Lynn Brower

Gale Lynn Brower, 70, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on Sept. 13, 1954 in Lewistown to the late Barbara E. (Tate) and George W. Lilley, Sr. She was a proud graduate of Penn State University with her Associate in Sociology.

Gale is survived by her children, Julie Richard and husband, Eric, of McClure, Becky Brower of Yeagertown, and Denise Ryan and husband, Reece, of Mifflintown; four grandchildren, Evan Richard, Emytt Richard, Quintin Soccio, and Kaylee Weaver and fiancÈ, Harry Lowber; two great grandchildren, Zaleena and Nalani Lowber; sister Linda Silks and husband, William; and brother, Kerry Lilley. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brother, George W. Lilley Jr.

Gale kept her hands busy with various crafting projects that included painting and sewing and spending time in her garden. She was a part of the Lewistown Community Garden Club, planting in the plots at the local library and winning an achievement award for her work. The Mifflin County Library was a favorite spot for her to explore and read new books. Gale frequently attended live concerts and loved to visit State Parks. She was always stargazing and walking in the mountains. During the holidays, she made a variety of candies to enjoy with her family.

A graveside service will take place at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Mt. Rock Cemetery, Oakland Ave, Lewistown. King-Barr Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
