Dorothy L. Pollock

Dorothy L. Pollock, 91, of Granville, and formerly of Mattawana, passed away on Monday, Feb. 17, 2025, at William Penn Healthcare in Lewistown. Born Sept. 26, 1933, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Roy R. Walter and the late Beulah C. (Appleby) Walter Klinger. Her husband of 48 years, Glenn W. Pollock, preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 2002.

Also preceding her in death was her stepfather, Arlanda Klinger.

Surviving are: three chlidren, Randall E. Pollock, of Lewistown, Laura M. Borth of Biglerville, Steven W. Pollock, of McAlisterville; five siblings, Roy A. Walter, of Huntingdon, Robert E. Walter, of Mapleton Depot, Charles E. Walter of Saltillo, Frederick J. Walter, of Beavertown; Dan N. Klinger, of McVeytown; three grandchildren, Michael Borth, Jonathan Borth, Victoria Pollock; two step grandchildren, Stacy Budde and Andrew McAlevy; as well as her grandchildren's and stepgrandchildren's families.

A homemaker, early in life she was also employed at the former McCrory's Five and Dime in Lewistown and Norton's Hardware in McVeytown.

She served with the McVeytown Fire Co. Auxiliary for many years and volunteered at the McVeytown Senior Citizen Center for 20 years.

Known for her beautiful lawn and flowers, Dorothy was also an excellent seamstress and enjoyed crocheting.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown.

Private interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.
