Gary B. Zeiders

Gary B. Zeiders, 76, of Mifflintown, formerly of East Waterford, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025 at his home.
Born Aug. 16, 1948 in East Waterford, he was a son of the late Lester and Betty (Shaw) Zeiders.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (Beasom) Zeiders, whom he married March 30, 1968, two sons, Jeffrey S. Zeiders (Abbe) of Mifflintown and Don Zeiders (Heather Placek) of Hagerstown, MD, six grandchildren, Hannah Zeiders, Alyssa Zeiders, Jonah Zeiders, Presley Zeiders, Amy Gardner (Danny) and Stephan Keating (Cassidy), three great-grandchildren, Logan Gardner, Jaelyn Gardner, and Knox Keating, one brother, Paul E. Zeiders (Janet) of Lewistown, a sister-in-law, Deborah Parson, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Herbert and Dorothy Beasom and a sister-in-law, Carol L. Zeiders.
He graduated from HACC.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
He was the office manager at Jim’s Scrap Metals and a bus driver for Gilson’s Transportation. He and his wife were co-owners of the White House Restaurant and Zeiders Concessions.
He was a member of the Mexico Presbyterian Church, Mifflintown Lions Club, and Shermans Valley Heritage Days. He was a co-founder and past-president of Tuscarora Valley Heritage Days and a co-founder of Lack Tuscarora EMS.
He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping, and cooking cheesesteaks but he especially enjoyed spending time with family and socializing with everyone.
There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, at Guss Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown.
There will be a private graveside service at East Waterford Cemetery at the convenience of the family with Pastor Jodi Strawser officiating and Military Honors accorded by the Juniata Co. Veterans Council.
