Charles W. ‘Chuck’ Besch

Charles W. "Chuck" Besch, 59 of Lewistown, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2025. He was the husband to Carrie E. (VanHorne) Besch for 27 years.

Chuck, a Christian by faith, loved spending time with his family and dog, Hank. He was a graduate of Lewistown High School, Class of 1983. He worked for Fisher Electronics, Voegele Construction, and most recently, Redwood Construction. He took pride in his work as a Foremen and his contracted work through Standard Steel. Chuck was an avid fisherman and shooter. He was a member of Mifflin County Bass Club, Decatur Sportsman Club, and the NRA.

In addition to his wife, Carrie, Chuck is survived and loved by his daughter, Allison J. Besch and fiancÈ, Pat McConaughey of Mount Union; brother, Robin Eyer and wife Lois of Lewistown; sisters, Grace Bonson and husband, Mike of Lewistown and Lori Basom and companion, Jacob Getty of Mexico, Juniata County; many aunts and uncles; numerous nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Gary VanHorne and wife, Nikki; and sister-in-law, Dawn VanHorne. Chuck is preceded in death by parents, Charles "Buzz" and Eva M. "Dolly" (Eyer) Besch.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, at King-Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
