Carol A. Hepler, 78, of Milroy, passed away on Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, at Greenwood Village.
She was born on Aug. 8, 1946, in Lewistown, to the late Eugene and Mary (Yetter) Stringer. On Sept. 26, 1964, she married Dean T. Hepler, who survives.
Along with her husband, she is survived by a son, Steven T. Hepler and wife, Darla King, of Reedsville; step-grandson, Jared C. King of Helena, MT; siblings: Eugene E. Stringer and wife, Jane, of Milroy, Mary Ann Fultz and husband, David, of Allensville; and sister-in-law: Janice Stringer, of Milroy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Stringer.
She was a 1964 graduate of Kishacoquillas High School. Following high school, she worked at Fisher Electronics, then was primarily a homemaker until her son completed school, then worked at Jamesway until it closed.
She was an active member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Havice Valley. She enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels.
She and her husband enjoyed traveling together, mainly to Myrtle Beach.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Henderson-Bohn Funeral Home, 55 N. Main Street, Reedsville. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dale Benner officiating. Burial will be held at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Milroy.
