Anne L. Smith, 84, of Reedsville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jacob E. Smith, Sr. for 32 years before his passing in 2008.
Born on June 4, 1940 in Mount Union, she was a daughter of the late Harry D. and Mabel V. (Smith) Lukens. Anne is a graduate of Captain Jack Joint High School. She previously worked at Huntingdon Hospital and Larry Knepp Law Office. Most recently she worked at Milroy Senior Center. Anne was a faithful member at East Kish Presbyterian Church.
Anne is survived by her daughters, Holly Anne Snyder and husband, Bruce Karaffa, of State College, Kathi Jo Hampton of Reedsville, and Mary Anne Stella and husband, James, of Hamburg, and grandchildren, Julie D. Hampton, Allison B. Stella, and Nicholas J. Stella. In addition to her husband and parents, Anne is preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025 at King Funeral Home & Crematory, 47 Carriage House Lane, Reedsville. The service will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ela Robertson officiating. Burial will take place at Juniata Memorial Park following the service.
