Ada M. Kanagy, age 89, died on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025 at 9:43 a.m. at her home, 171 Hidden Valley Dr., Mifflintown.
Born Feb. 25, 1935 in Millersburg, Ohio, Holmes County to the late Meno D. wengerd and his late wife Mattie D (Weaver).
She was preceded in death by her husband Sam R. Kanagy.
Surviving children are Menno S. Kanagy and wife, Katie (Petersheim), Levi S. Kanagy and wife, Naomi (Renno), John S. Kanagy and wife, Fannie (Hershberger), Elizabeth and husband, Melvin Mast, Annie S. and husband, Levi Yoder, Joas S. Kanagy and wife, Annie (Renno), Daniel S. Kanagy and wife Elizabeth (Yoder), Mattie and husband Ezra Mast, Sadie and husband, Amos Peachey, Emanuel Kanagy and wife Ruth (Troyer), Jacob Kanagy and wife Amanda (Troyer).
85 grandchildren and 76 great grandchldren also survive.
Also surviving are brother Levi r. Kanagy and sisters Fannie (Wengerd) and husband, Sam Beiler, of New York, Annie (Kanagy) Wengerd, of Mifflintown, Amelia (Yoder) Wengerd, of Mifflintown, Fannie (Beiler) Wengerd, of Spring Run.
Viewing will be held at 171 Hidden Valley Drive on Friday Jan. 17, 2025 from 1 to 6 p.m.
Funeral service will be Saturday Jan. 18, 2025 at the same address.
