Michael E. Grassmyer, 67, of Gloucestershire, England, formerly of Lewistown and Belleville, passed away at 9:05 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024, at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital due to a medical emergency.
Born on Sept. 29, 1957, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Donald and Patricia Grassmyer of Lewistown.
Michael is survived by his wife, Christine, whom he married on July 8, 2008, and resides in Gloucestershire; daughters Kristen Sharp and husband Troy, their children Logan and Alaina of Belleville; Kaylee Long and husband Steve, their children Jadon, Sarah, and Elijah of Mount Union; and Katrina Vadas and husband Michael, their children Jaycub and Alyvia of Belleville; stepson James Chandler-Reade and husband Matthew of Gloucestershire.
He was a graduate of Lewistown High School class of 1975.
Mike was employed at Wincanton until his retirement last year. Prior to his move to England, he worked at various places such as FCI in Mount Union, as well as APM in Allensville, and Boring Transport and Westover's Garage in Belleville.
He was involved in the Belleville Fire Company for many years.
Mike was a Philadelphia Eagles and NASCAR fan, enjoyed dining out with family and friends, and photography as his hobby. He was especially proud of his grandchildren. He will be sorely missed by his family he leaves behind.
