Edna P. Kauffman, 102, formerly of 37 King St. Garden View Reedsville, passed away on Dec. 6, 2024, at Valley View Retirement Community.
She was born June 10, 1922 to the late Thomas and Elsie Havice. In 1940 she married Penrose C. Kauffman, who preceded her in death March 6, 2007. She was the last of her immediate family.
She is survived by a daughter, Peggy, of Valley View Retirement Community, a son, Kenneth and wife, Penelope, of Wesley Chapel, Fla. and grandson, Christopher, of Winter Garden, Fla. She is also survived by good friends Jerry and Marlyn Middlesworth and children Rachael and Adam.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Siglerville, Pa. She graduated from Milroy High School in 1939.
Edna worked a short time as a telephone operator at Sears, Roebuck & Company in Burnham. She enjoyed knitting and making afghan blankets.
Per her request, there will be no public viewing. Burial will take place at Salem Cemetery in Siglerville on Dec. 16, 2024 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Doug Pierce officiating.
