Beryle ‘Becky’ A. Wiser

Beryle "Becky" A. Wiser, 95, formerly of McClure, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024. She passed peacefully at her daughter's home in Delaware, where she resided.

Born Sept. 15, 1929, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Gertrude (Zook) Goss.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and Navy Veteran, Wesley W. Wiser, on Sept. 28, 2012; and her siblings, Richard, Percy, Kenneth, Lawrence and Ruth Goss, Mildred Roush, Shirley Weaver, Dorothy Goss and a stillborn Infant. She was the last surviving sibling.

She is survived by: her four children, Dennis Wiser and wife, Brenda, of Reedsville, Karen Evins and husband, Danny, of Del., Wendy Wiser and companion, Jim, of McAlisterville and Bonnie Hammett and husband, Allen, of Ga.; nine grandchildren, Charles Slagle and wife, Bobbi, of Del., Ryan Wiser and wife, Christine, of Reedsville, Erica Yorks and husband, Toby, of Reedsville, Coty Wiser of Reedsville, Elizabeth Wallace and husband, Ben, of Ga., Ethan Johnson and wife, Amy, of Ga., Nicole Wise and companion, Sam, of Linden, Pa., Shawn Wise and companion, Jennifer, of McAlisterville and Matthew Boyer and wife, Kristi, of Lewistown; eighteen great-grandchildren; Amber, Wesley, Madison, Brianna, Brylee, Bryson, Ashlynn, Hailey, Aliviah, Haydin, Dillan, Shawn, Tyler, Austin, Gaige, Conner, Isaiah and Trey; one great-great granddaughter, Rhylynn.

Beryle was a former member of the First Church of the Brethren, in Lewistown.

She was a homemaker for many years and in later years, she was employed and retired from Kinney Shoes in Beaver Springs.

Beryle was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved being around her family and friends.

A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Home, 108 First Ave., Burnham, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., with Reverend Douglas Sherlock Jr. officiating.

Interment will be held at Juniata Memorial Park.
