Avery J. Haubrick

Avery J. Haubrick, 24, of Lewistown, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness at 4:02 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024, at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.

Born Sept. 1, 2000, in Lewistown, he was a son of Brian and Cari (Traxler) Haubrick, of Lewistown, who survive to grieve his loss, along with his maternal grandparents, Jacob Thomas Traxler Jr. and wife, Patricia, of Lewistown, and his siblings, Brooke and Haden Haubrick, of Lewistown.

Avery was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Etta Haubrick.

He was a 2019 graduate of Mifflin County High School and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. Degree in Environmental Science.

Avery was employed in geographic information services and as a drone operator by Civic Mapper LLC in Pittsburgh.

He attended Pine Glen CMA Church and loved being outdoors, hiking, fishing, singing, and playing his guitar. To honor Avery's passion as an environmentalist, his body was donated to the Humanity Gifts Registry.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m., Monday, Dec. 30, 2024, followed by the memorial service at 4 p.m., at Pine Glen CMA Church, 1058 SR 103 North, Lewistown, with Pastor James Connelly officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Avery's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
