Thomas E. Shirey Jr.

He was born on Nov. 8, 1963 in Lewistown.

Tom is survived by his mother, Brenda Shirey and David Ritchey, and father, Thomas Shirey Sr. and Connie. Also surviving are siblings: Steven “Todd” Shirey, Tracey (Rick) Gibson, Troy Shirey, and Tonya Yoder. He is also survived by his daughter, Tess Shirey and step-children: Amanda (John)Youtzy, Holly (David) Landis, James (Jocelyn) Landis, Emily (Josh) Landis, and seven grandchildren: Maddie, Kenzie, Colton, Lilly, and Jack Youtzy, James Jr., Kamron, and nieces and nephews: Brendan and Steven Gibson, Hunter, Blaine, Kayla, Julie, Lori, and Wyatt He was a 1981 graduate of Lewistown High School and also graduated in 1981 from the Vo-Tech School in Autobody. He also obtained various certificates in telecommunications. He was a life-long autobody mechanic and owned and operated his own business, Shirey’s Auto Repair. Most recently he was employed at First Quality in Lewistown. Tom was very passionate about cars, trains and racing. Whether going with his buddies or taking his daughter Tess he enjoyed any car show. His daughter Tess was his pride and joy and he would tell you she was his biggest accomplishment. He enjoyed going camping, watching documentaries about anything and everything, tinkering about in his garage and spending time with his family.
