Beverly J. "Bev" Frankhouser, 80, of Reedsville, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024 at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.
She was born on Dec. 3, 1943 in Belleville to the late Howard and Helen (Harshbarger) Treaster. On October 9, 1960, she married Sanford L. Frankhouser, who survives at home.
Along with her husband, she is survived by children: Brian L. Frankhouser and wife, Caroline of Reedsville, Bradley Frankhouser and wife, Holly, of Alfarata, and Deena Frankhouser of Danville; four grandchildren: Ryan Frankhouser, Chad Frankhouser, Joshua Frankhouser, and Courtney Frankhouser; two great-grandchildren: Bodie Frankhouser and Hattie Frankhouser; and a brother, James Treaster, Sr. of Belleville and companion, Janet Hann.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings: Richard Treaster, Paul Treaster, Bill Treaster, Evelyn Hassinger, Kate Weikel, Shirley Shaffer, Howard Treaster, Jr., and Robert Treaster.
She graduated from Kishacoquillas High School, and sold Beeline Fashions for a number of years, where she was a top saleswoman, earning numerous trips, which she and her husband enjoyed. She then worked as a ward clerk on 3B at Lewistown Hospital and retired after 20 years of service.
She loved music, loved going to concerts, especially to see her grandkids play bluegrass music. She enjoyed watching Jimmy Swaggart and becoming closer to Jesus. She loved going out to eat, shopping, couponing and playing board games. She had a beautiful spirit and had many friends that she loved and valued. She also loved helping people and she loved her cats and her dog, Missy.
She was a member of the Barrville Mennonite Church.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Barrville Mennonite Church, 48 Barrville Mountain Road, Reedsville, with a memorial service following at 3 p.m. with Rev. Carl Geissinger officiating. Burial will take place at the Barrville Mennonite Cemetery.
