Robert E. ‘Bob’ Treaster
Robert E. “Bob” Treaster, 85, of Belleville, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024.
He was born on April 22, 1939, in Belleville to the late Howard M. and Helen (Harshbarger) Treaster.
Surviving are daughters: Jacqueline L. Treaster of State College and Carol A. Fultz and husband, Ronald, of Belleville; four grandchildren: Lindsey Rhodes of Myerstown, Ryan Fultz and wife, Ashley Nicole, of Lewistown, Ashley Ann Fultz and companion, Scott Cavanaugh, of McVeytown, Zach Fultz and wife, Jenny, of Huntingdon; five great- grandchildren: Kayden Fultz, Alexa Williams, Vance Fultz, Owen Fultz and Colton Fultz; siblings: James Treaster Sr. of Belleville and companion, Janet Hann, and Beverly Frankhouser and husband, Sanford, of Reedsville; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a great-grand- son, Gage Michael Fultz; siblings: Richard Treaster, Paul Treaster, Bill Treaster, Evelyn Hassinger, Kate Weikel, Shirley Shaffer and Howard Treaster Jr.
He attended Menno-Union High School. He then served in the U.S. Marines Corp from 1957-1963. Following the marines, he was employed at Abbott’s Dairy, later known as Fairmont Foods, where he retired. After retirement, he went logging with the Amish, then taxied the Amish for many years.
He enjoyed hunting and doing woodworking projects. He loved picnicking and having barbeques. He also loved to visit and play board games with his grandchildren and give them funny little gifts.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 3597 West Main Street, Belleville. The memorial service will follow at 3:30 p.m. with Pastor Mike Sigler officiating.
Light refreshments will follow the service.
