Richard Leo Treaster (Dick), was born Feb. 1, 1934 in Milroy; a son of the late Charles Edgar and Carrie Lee Reed Treaster.
Affectionately known as "Pap," Dick passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones after a life devoted to family. A cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Dick's legacy is one of unwavering dedication and love.
A proud Navy veteran, Dick served his country before beginning a long and fulfilling career with Arrow Shirt Company. His unwavering work ethic was rivaled only by his deep love for his family, who were at the center of his world. He was always there to offer support, guide, and care, making a lasting impact on everyone around him.
An avid golfer, Dick found joy on the course, in his workshop, and in his garden, particularly when sharing these passions with his grandchildren. He was the heart of his family, fostering cherished memories and traditions that will be treasured for generations.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Madeline, their children Kim (Nancy) and Ed (Karen), and their grandchildren Merritt, Adam, Corey, and Mitchell (Merci). Dick also leaves behind his great-grandchildren Harper, Bennett, and Oliver, who will continue to honor his legacy of love.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Joyce Gantz, Leona Wagner, Beverly Everly and Edgar A. Treaster.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in his memory.
