Marlyn D. Anna

Marlyn D. Anna, 79, of Lewistown, passed away on Monday, Oct. 7, 2024 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband to Patricia A. (Wilson) Anna for 59 years.

Born on May 4, 1945 in Patton, he was a son of the late Tony and Ann (Wetzel) Anna. Marlyn graduated from Bishop Carroll High School in Ebensburg. He went on to serve in the US Army during the Vietnam war from 1965-1967 before being honorably discharged. He then obtained his Bachelor's degree from Triangle School of Drafting in Pittsburgh. For the next 42 years, Marlyn worked as an Engineer at Marlette Homes Inc. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, St. Vincent de Paul, Knights of Columbus, and Moose Lodge #143. Marlyn loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his grandchildren.

Marlyn is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Ellen Sheetz and husband, David, of Reedsville, Jean Bender and husband, Mike, of Mechanicsburg, David Anna and wife, Tammy, of Lewistown, and Ruth Hughes and husband, Jeff, of Mechanicsburg; 10 grandchildren, Katelyn, Adam, and Emma Sheetz, Brittany Glinski, Zachary and Matthew Bender, Anthony and Nathan Anna, and Ethan and Noah Hughes; two great-grandchildren, Cayden Glinski and Peighton Anna; siblings, Don Anna and wife, Mary Ann and Ruth Beringer. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Leo Anna.

A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 14, 2024 at King-Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 106 N Dorcus Street, Lewistown. Officiating is Father Kevin Coyle. Burial will follow at Juniata Memorial Park with military honors.
