Lyle D. Jasper, 70, of Lewistown, passed away on Monday Oct. 1, 2024 at his home.
Born Nov. 23, 1953 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Billie Joe and Phyllis (Flasher) Jasper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Lyle "Smokey" Jasper, Jr., and sisters, Diaina Chalfant and Darlene Burger.
Lyle is survived by his wife, Mona (Price) Jasper, grandson, Damon Jasper and wife Lexy, great-grandchildren, Sadie and Kasen, and siblings, Chester Jasper and wife Jewell, of Tennessee, Mildred Holland, of Columbia, Ed Jasper and wife Cindy, of Lewistown, and Thomas Jasper and wife Mary, of McClure.
He was a man of the outdoors, where he found peace and fulfillment in nature. His greatest joys were found on the water or in the woods. From an early age, he developed a passion for fishing, which eventually led him to the art of fly tying that he perfected. Hunting was another passion close to his heart, and the stories of his adventures will live on for generations.
All services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
