John W. Buenting, 88, of Lewistown, passed away on Oct. 4, 2024.
He was born on Feb. 23, 1936 in McKeesport, Pa.
John was a devoted family man who cherished his wife Mary Ann, to whom he was married for 66 years. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann and their three children: Julie, Brad (Rani) and Todd (Christa). He had five grandchildren; Jessie, Josh, Cory, Tyler and Farrah. He also had five great-grandchildren.
He was a retired math professor from Brockport, N.Y. He also played college football at Slippery Rock.
John and his wife Mary Ann retired and moved to Lewistown in 1996. He enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting, fishing and camping.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024 at Henderson-Bohn Funeral Home, 55 N. Main Street, Reedsville.
