Ruth Ann Rush, 69, of Lewistown, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024 at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital. She was the wife of Robert Lee Rush, Sr. for 52 years.
Born Aug 3, 1955 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Richard E. and Reba Mae (Rager) Smith. Earlier in life she enjoyed scuba diving, bowling, and playing pinochle. She enjoyed watching dirt track racing. Ruth retired from Snyder Country Prison as Warden after 20 years. She was a member of Touring Friends Riding Club.
In addition to her husband, Ruth is survived by her sons, Robert Rush, Jr. and wife, Cheryl, and William Rush and wife, Kendra, both of McVeytown; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, and siblings, Connie Willis of Lewistown, Richard Smith and wife, Sue, of McClure, Steven Smith and companion, David, of Harrisburg, and Lisa Laird and husband, Dwayne, of Lewistown.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, 2024 at King-Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown. The service will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bill Romig officiating. Burial will follow at Juniata Memorial Park.
