Harry C. Moore

Harry C. Moore, 83, of Reedsville, passed from earth on Sept. 23, 2024, peacefully in his home.

He was born on Sept. 21, 1941 in Lewistown, a son of the late Harry A. Moore and Verna (Minimum) Moore. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Mabel (Moore) Freed.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Laura (Henry) Moore; children: Terry Moore and wife, Karen (Graves) Moore, Jill (Moore) Grove and husband, Duane Grove, and Patricia Moore; grandchildren: Jason Moore, Annissa Seager, Briana Valentine and husband, Ethan Valentine; great-grandchildren: Sienna McMullen and Verna Moore; and two cherished dogs, Sassy and Pepper.

He was a 1960 graduate of Kishacoquillas High School. He was employed by Mark Trucking, Boring Trucking, and Allensville Planing Mill. He was a former member of Lewistown Moose Lodge, Post #143. In his earlier years, he was a member of the Reedsville Fire Company.

He loved spending time with his family and beloved neighbors, Donavan and Natalie. He was an expert carpenter, he enjoyed having a family craft business, he loved riding his motorcycle, watching Gunsmoke, sitcoms, and in his younger years, hunting. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A graveside service will be held at the Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville, on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jen Heikes officiating.
