Darryl G. Jackson, Sr., 76, of 126 Treaster Valley Road, Milroy, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024.
He was born on May 16, 1948 in Reedsville, to the late James E. and Selma (Brittain) Jackson. On Sept. 21, 1966, he married Anna S. (Auman) Jackson, who survives at home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children: Lori A Jackson-Habbershon and husband Rich Habbershon of Lewistown, Darryl G. Jackson, Jr. "DJ" and wife Maranda of Milroy, and Crystal L. Heister and husband John of Milroy; five grandchildren: Cody Jackson, Tyler Kuhns, Zane Jackson, Ashlynn Jackson, and Olivia Frey, five step-grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, LuAnn Auman and husband Blair of Milroy; a niece, Rachel Franklin and a nephew, Kory Auman.
He graduated in 1966 from Kishacoquillas High School. He was employed at J-Wood and retired from Lerch RV.
He was a Christian by faith.
He served as a fire policeman for Milroy Fire Company for a number of years. He enjoyed doing woodworking projects. His favorite past time was watching TV. He was a simple man who adored his wife, children and grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family at the Church Hill Cemetery with Pastor Carl Horne officiating.
