Cynthia (Sis) Andrews Parson passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2024.
Born in Elizabethtown to the late Carl G. Andrews and Geraldine Cynthia (Sheetz) Andrews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, H. Dale Eaton and one brother, Carl Andrews, Jr.
She also resided in Belfry, MT at their summer home.
Surviving are her husband, Wayne Decker Parson; one son, Steven D. Eaton (Robin); two daughters, Loisrae Eaton Graybill (Scott) and Angel Parson Strohm (Michael, Jr.); six grandchildren, Emily Eaton Milliken (Doug), Zachary Eaton (Katy), Nichole Graybill Chapman (Darin), Michael Graybill (Edith May Minick), Harlie Strohm, and Michael Strohm III; seven great grandchildren, Hannah Oberlin, Eli Milliken Brandon and Blake Chapman, Aaron and Logan Minick, and Lucy Grace Eaton; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She is also survived by a brother, David Andrews (Rosie) and a sister-in-law, Linda Andrews.
Sis was an LPN graduating from the Juniata Mifflin Vo-Tech, Lewistown. She worked in the Lewistown Hospital and also as a Private Duty Nurse retiring from Messiah Village Retirement Community after 36 years in 2019.
She loved to travel and she and her husband traveled all over the world except for Asia and the far East. They also traveled on their Gold Wing trike in most of Canada, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland. They covered all the US except for 3 states.
She loved spending time with her family, watching and going to NASCAR races, and watching NFL football.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, attended Mountain View Baptist Church in Belfry, MT. Belonged to the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, Sychar #36 York, Order of the Eastern State, Perry #423 New Bloomfield, Cumberland Valley Winged Riders, Red Rose Riders, Millerstown Moose, and Marysville VFW.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, with Pastor Sam Coulimore officiating.
There will be a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Cynthia's memory can be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church, 450 Sylvan Street, Marysville, PA 17053.
