Michael S. Rhoades, 69, of Yeagertown, passed away unexpectedly on Monday August 5, 2024 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
He was born Sept. 30, 1954 in Lewistown, and was the son of the late Stanley and Jean (Hawke) Rhoades. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Rhoades, and a sister, Patricia Elliot.
Michael is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Tubbs) Rhoades, whom he married on April 29, 1980, his daughter, Amanda Baker and husband Keith, of Yeagertown, his sister, Cindy Porch and husband Edward, of Lewistown, and grandchildren, Kyler and Kaden Baker.
He was a long-time member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Lewistown.
Earlier in life, he was employed at Lear Corp., and later retired from Trinity Plastics. One of his favorite past-times was bowling at Lewistown Lanes. His greatest joy came from his family, and following his grandchildren that he loved dearly, whether it was a sporting or band event, he was there. He will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday Aug. 7, 2024 at King Funeral Home and Crematory, 47 Carriage House Lane, Reedsville with Pastor Chris Lutz officiating. There will be a time of visitation held at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Burial will be private.
