Lewis C. Johnson, 87, of Lewistown, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024, at Greenwood Village.
Born June 25, 1937, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Lewis R. and Mary Grace (Moyer) Johnson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Briggs; and brother-in-law, George Briggs.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela (Huffnagle) Johnson, whom he married July 27, 1974; two sons, Lewis R. Johnson, of York, Rex A. Johnson and wife, Billie Jo Berson- Johnson, of Wellsboro; four grandchildren, Samantha, Maxwell, Derek, Elizabeth Johnson; sister, Alma Johnson, of Beaver Springs.
He was a member of Freedom Avenue United Methodist Church, Lewistown Moose Lodge No. 143, ACTW Retirees.
Lewis was a 1955 class graduate of Beaver Vocational.
He was a United States Air Force veteran, he served 1955-59.
Lewis worked at Standard Steel in machine shop II for 36 ¢ years.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2024, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Ave., Burnham.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2024, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Burnham, with Rev. Stephen Portner officiating.
Interment will be held at Birch Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by Juniata County Veterans Council.
