William R. Fox, 86 of Lewistown, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 20, 2024 with family at his bedside. He was the loving husband of his childhood sweetheart, Marta (Clugh) Fox for 67 years.
Born on Jan. 1, 1938 in Lewistown, he was a son of the late William H. and Ester (White) Fox. William graduated from Elizabethtown College in 1959 with a Bachelors Degree in Biology. He owned and operated Fox Lumber for 45 years and was a counselor at OVR for 38 ¢ years before retiring. He was a proud member of Barrville Mennonite Church. During his free time, William enjoyed fishing at his camp in Poe Valley, woodworking, spending time at Daytona Beach, and most importantly, enjoying time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Including his wife, William is survived by children, Robert Fox and wife, Stacy, Alex Fox and wife, Sue, Chris Fox and wife, Kim, and Andy Fox and wife, Erica; 12 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
All services will be private. King-Barr Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
