Kenneth R. Elsasser, 89, of McAlisterville, passed away at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Brookline Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Mifflintown.
Born on Nov. 7, 1934, in Monroe Twp., Juniata County, he is a son of the late Robert W. and Dora (Naylor) Elsasser.
He is survived by his son, Michael K. Elsasser of McAlisterville; two grandchildren, Matthew Elsasser and his wife, Sara, and Michelle Elsasser; and two great grandchildren, Colt Matthew Elsasser and Cody Robert Elsasser.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Judy Ann Elsasser and Thomas Robert Elsasser; and two brothers, Donald "Dutch" Elsasser and Joe Elsasser making him the last of his generation.
He was a 1954 graduate of East Juniata High School in Cocolamus and was employed and retired with over 30 years of service at the Harrisburg Hospital. In addition to his employment, Kenneth enjoyed farming on the side as well.
Mr. Elsasser was a member of Brown's Global Methodist Church and enjoyed thrift shopping, going to sales, and harness horse racing.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 111 Westfall St., McAlisterville with Pastor William McNeil officiating. Interment will be private.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral services at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
