Janet Louise (Lockett) Sechrist, 92, McVeytown, passed away on Thursday July 25, 2024, at Geisinger Lewistown.
Born Nov. 7, 1931, Lewistown, daughter of the late Clair and Edith (Flynn) Lockett.
Preceded in death by her husband, Mervin C. Sechrist; and siblings, Roy Lockett, Clair Lockett Jr. and Mary Clark.
Survived by children, Harold Lockett and wife, Sandy; Gary Sechrist; Albert Sechrist and wife, Glenda; Mervin Sechrist and wife, Carol; eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and a sister, Leona Weakland.
Janet enjoyed camping and was proud to have visited all 50 states. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received on Monday July 29, 2024, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday July 30, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., at the funeral home, Pastor Craig Gandy, officiant. Interment to follow at Newton Hamilton Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E.
