Gwendee G. Lichvar, 75 of Lewistown, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Greenwood Village. She was the wife of the late Raymond J. Lichvar.
Born on June 20, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Mervin Wesley and Laura Georgeen (Griswold) Creager. Gwendee worked as a secretary at Mellon Bank in State College. She enjoyed crafts, drawing and painting. As a resident of Greenwood Village, she participated in their art show. Every May, her artwork was proudly displayed throughout the halls. Every spring and fall, Gwendee extremely enjoyed participating in art classes at Greenwood Village and Lewistown Presbyterian Church, hosted by Barbara Neilson. She enjoyed all variations of art. Gwendee was a member of Assembly of God Church in State College and the Red Hat Society. She was recognized by the PEER program (Pa. Empowered Expert Resident) at Greenwood Village as an advocate for the residents.
Gwendee is survived by her step children, Erica Lee Underhill and husband, Gary of McClure and Andrew "Drew" Lichvar of Pa. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by sister, Lora Lee Lovell.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Greenwood Village, 276 Green Ave, Lewistown. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Grandview Cemetery, 801 Millcreek Road, Johnstown, Pa., where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. King-Barr Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
