C. Almeda Howell, 93, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Brookline Manor. She was the wife of the late Harry J. "Buck" Howell who passed away in 2013.
Born on Sept. 5, 1930 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Carl D. and Harriet (Youtzy) Price. She graduated from Lewistown High School and then worked at an Echo Ultrasound Clinic for most of her life. She was a member at Lake Park United Methodist Church and played as an organist at various church
C. Almeda is survived by her sons, H. Donald Howell of New Mexico, Michael D. Howell, Sr. and wife, Tina of Strodes Mill, and Guy L. Howell and wife, Tracey of Mifflintown; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren, and sister, Gaile Miller of Mifflintown. In addition to her husband and parents, C. Almeda is preceded in death by son, Fred Howell.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at King-Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown. The service will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bernard Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow at Dormantown Lutheran Cemetery.
