Sharon L. (Davis) Gillam

Sharon L. (Davis) Gillam, 79, of Reedsville, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024, at her home.

Born Jan. 23, 1945, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Norman A. and Sarah J. (Wagner) Davis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William R., Dean A., and Paul G. Davis; and a grandson, Michael Herbster.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth E. Gillam, who she married May 22, 1964; children, Donna L. Sheetz and companion, Samuel Peters, of Milroy, Traci L. Johns, of Port Royal, Kenneth E. Gillam Jr., of Blandburg, Pa.; siblings, Norma J. Yeager, of Lewistown, Gail A. Marker and husband, James, of Burnham; grandchildren, Courtney, Megan, Cody, Alex, Sady, Hunter, Becky; great-grandchildren, William, Wesley, and Mikey.

She was a 1962 graduate of Lewistown Granville High School.

Sharon was a member of Church Hill United Methodist Church, and past matron of the Lewistown Chapter No. 283 of the Order of the Eastern Star

In her earlier years, she worked at Sanyo/Fisher Electronics and as a housekeeper at Ohesson Manor where she later retired.

She loved her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and going camping.

Special thanks to the nurses and staff on the 4th floor of Geisinger-Lewis- town Hospital.

A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., a special service by the Order of Eastern Star, Pastor Christopher Long and Reverend Richard Bender officiating,

Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sharon's memory to; Church Hill United Methodist Church.
