Raymond M. Singer Jr. "Bud", 75, McVeytown, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 19, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family.
Born Sept. 16, 1948, Mount Union, son of the late Raymond M. Sr. and Martha (Kruis) Singer. Survived by loving wife of 54 years, Connie (Bowser) Singer, children, Roxanne Hassinger, Monica Simcisko and spouse, Denny; Andy Fisher, and Cassandra Singer, sister, Linda Wagner, and husband, Will; sister-in-law, Jenny Singer, grandchildren, Hunter and four others. Preceded in death by brother, Ronald Singer.
Raymond graduated Mount Union Area High School in 1968 and went on to honorably serve in the United States Navy from 1968-1972, achieving the rank and title of Boiler Technician 3rd Class. He was a member of St. Catherines of Siena Catholic Church Mount Union, Knights of Columbus where he previously served as Grand Knight. Raymond enjoyed working with Columbia Squires as a mentor, volunteered at Lions International of Allenport, PA FFA of Mount Union, Cub Scout Pack Leader, Boy Scout Leader, Girl Scouts Assistant Leader, and volunteered at the Mount Union Christmas Bazar. He was known as a train enthusiast and loved taking trips to Gettysburg.
Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
