Lisea Louise Spahr (Foltz) age 71, of Red Lion Pa., formerly of Lewistown, passed peacefully at home on Saturday, May 25, 2024.
She was loved by so many. Those lucky enough to be loved by her were loved whole heartedly. She was always caring for others and putting herself last. She loved to laugh! And she wanted the last laugh, so she wrote her own obituary:
I was born on Dec. 6, 1952 to the late Bernard E. and Esther V. (Geedey) Foltz.
I leave behind my best friend ever and the greatest achievement of my life, my daughter, Nicole Lynch (Gisewhite). I am blessed to have lived with her and her husband, Matthew. My grandchildren, Garrett and Gracie Lynch, are the light of my life. There are no words to describe the joy of being their Nana. I love them all so very much. We all have such a strong bond. Don't be sad, I'm going where it smells like fresh dried linens on the clothes line! It's time for my favorite song… "Spirit in the Sky.''
I am survived by my brother Jeffery Foltz and wife Tammy, my sister Leah Bretz, my brother-in-law Charles Doyle and my sister-in-law Sue Foltz. I have many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Along with my parents I was preceded in death by brothers, Stephen Foltz and Scott Foltz. My sister Leta Lynn Doyle and my brother-in-law Renny Bretz. I am anticipating a celestial reunion! I have the best memories growing up with my family. We simply got along. We respected and loved one another.
I graduated from LGHS in 1970. I waitressed at many restaurants and retired from Phillips Ultrasound in 2012. After retirement, I worked for a year at Joe's OIP where my brother Jeff and his wife Tam are the owners. I enjoyed working there most of all. I took great pleasure in caring for my family and my home. I prided myself in being an optimist! I enjoyed working outside and getting my hands dirty, digging in the dirt and watching things grow. I have lived a wonderful and fulfilling life with a loving family and many friends. I volunteered when I could at meals on wheels, Mifflin County Abuse Network, Lewistown Hospital and Habitat for Humanity.
I chose to donate my body to science and help others. I wish for no services. Memorial Donation can be made to Mission MSA, www.missionmsa .org.
