Ronald E. Crosson, 75, of Lewistown, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, at his home.
Born March 6, 1949, in Lewistown, he was the son of Paul and Harriet (Winn) Crosson who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Barry Crosson.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Sue (Sechler) Crosson, whom he married on Sept. 26, 1998, his children, Melissa "Missie" Zimmerman and husband Douglas, of Lewistown, Jack Rishel and wife Kristi, of McVeytown, and Michael Rishel and Caitlin Zimmerman, of Lewistown, his siblings, Paul Crosson and wife Gloria, of Lewistown, and Bonnie Harshbarger, of Mattawana, his grandchildren, Devan Zimmerman and wife Stephanie, Brittney Bradford and husband Jakobi, Madison Rishel, Marissa Rishel and fiancÈ Seth Gahagan, Cade Rishel, Kylee Rishel, Brody Rishel, Brice Rishel, and Jace Rishel, and great- grandchildren, Sophie Zimmerman and Elowynne Bradford.
He was employed at Sperry New Holland for more than 30 years until his retirement. After retirement, he was employed at DBI Inc. for more than 14 years.
He was a member of Granville United Methodist Church.
Earlier in life, Ron was a decorated athlete, and was a member of the undefeated 1967 Lewistown High School Football team. In his free time, he enjoyed watching old westerns on television, NASCAR, and Penn State Sports. Most of all, he enjoyed the time he spent with his family, especially his children, grandchildren and great-grandchil- dren.
A memorial service in loving memory of Ron will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2024, in the social hall of Granville United Methodist Church, 1346 N. River Road in Granville, Pa. There will be a visitation held there from 5 p.m. until time of service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to King- Barr Funeral Home LLC, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
