Robert S. ‘Skinny’ Darrow

Robert S. "Skinny" Darrow, 59, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Scott was born Dec. 12, 1964, in Doylestown, Pa. to the late William B. and Anne S. (Spadea) Darrow-Combs. On June 30, 2012, he married Jody (Wimer) Darrow, his surviving wife.

In addition to his wife; he is survived by his children Brittney Darrow, William Darrow and Frank Darrow and foster son, Sam Horning. As well as step-children, Jacob Weaver, Joseph Weaver, Jonathon Weaver and Elizabeth Weaver Ohler, a brother Richard Darrow, half-brothers, Allen Darrow, Rico Darrow and half-sister, Anna Darrow. Skinny was also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Darrow and Jimmy Darrow.

Skinny worked as a self- employed farmer. He also owned and operated Darrow Excavating, and McCoysville Fuels, LLC.

Scott was a member of the South Juniata Baptist Church in Honey Grove, Pa. He enjoyed collecting various items. He loved racing, redoing old tractors, especially with his dad, working on cars and flying. Scott was known to play practical jokes on people and enjoyed it. He was a licensed steam locomotive engineer at one time.

The funeral service will be private and held at the family's convenience, with Pastor Caleb Burd officiating. A public, closed casket visitation, will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown, PA 17059. Interment is private with burial taking place on his property. A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.

Donations in Mr. Darrow's memory may be made to the South Juniata Baptist Church, 3647 Smokey Hollow Road, Honey Grove, PA 17035.
