Robert Franklin Smith Jr., 64, passed away on April 19, 2024, surrounded by his family in his home. Born to the late Helen Moore and Robert Smith Sr. on July 22, 1959. He was a beloved father, husband and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Rob was a graduate of Kishacoquillas Highschool and later became a self-employed truck driver.
On May 20, 1989, Rob married Tammy (Reese) Smith, who survives at home. In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Victoria and husband, Lane Ackerman of Crofton, Md. and Christian and fiancÈ, Taylor Bachman of Reedsville, and his grandchildren, Tia and Blake Ackerman. Also survived by his siblings, Vickie (Smith) Dawson, Harvey Smith, and Scott Smith and wife, Diane.
More than anything, Rob was a devoted father and husband. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, participating in all of their interests and hobbies. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.
In his free time, Rob enjoyed spending time with family and friends, wood working, and being in the outdoors. Rob was always eager to share his knowledge and lend a helping hand. He was a member of Dorman Lutheran Church. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
