I. Marie Park, 69, of Hares Valley Road, Mapleton, Pa., died Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center.
Born Aug. 4, 1954, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Catherine (McKim) Mitchell. She was united in marriage to Max D. Park on Dec. 27, 1980. Mr. Park preceded in death on Nov. 17, 2023.
She is survived by two sons, Duane E. McConaughey, Jr. and wife, Laurie of Belleville, and Charles McConaughey of Reedsville, seven grandchildren, Edward Hamman, Jr. and wife, Julia, Sierra Grove and husband, Gabe, Serena McConaughey and companion, Victor Resto, Preston McConaughey, Marcus McConaughey, Grace McConaughey and Phoebe McConaughey, four step grandchildren, Erica, Katee, Bethanie and Kasey and three great granddaughters, Aurora Hamman, Zayliah Grove and Amorianna Jayne, "A.J.". She is also survived by two brothers, Charles Mitchell, Jr. and James Mitchell and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters.
Mrs. Park was a member of the Beech Run Church of the Brethren and the Trough Creek Valley Fire Company, where she served as an EMT.
During her life she was a homemaker and was also employed at various sewing factories over the years.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 3, 2024, at the Beech Run Church of the Brethren, 14918 Hares Valley Road, Mapleton, Pa. with Rev. Ernest Dell officiating. Interment will be made at Bowman's Chapel Cemetery, Mapleton. Friends may call at the church 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
