Mary A. Strauser, 83, of Lewistown, passed away on Wednesday March 20, 2024 at William Penn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Sept. 17, 1940 in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Angelo S. and Kathryn (Kosack) Meloni. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John "Sonny" Meloni.
Mary is survived by her children, Eric Strauser and wife Kimberley, of Knoxville, and Aaron Strauser and wife Jaimie, of Durham, N.C., her siblings, Deloris Garrison, Angela Kovschack, Kathleen Haines, and Anna Stewart, and granddaughter, Alexis Semder.
Mary attended the Harrisburg Polyclinic School of Nursing, and later was employed as a Registered Nurse for many years, retiring in 2012. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday March 23, 2024 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 106 N Dorcas St, Lewistown, PA 17044, with Father Richard Groff officiating. There will be a viewing held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday March 22, 2024 at King-Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday March 26, 2024 at Juniata Memorial Park, 9010 US-522, Lewistown, PA 17044.
