Kimbra L. Freed, 63, of Belleville, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville after a very long and hard battle with multiple medical conditions.
Born Nov. 21, 1960, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Larry Harmon, and Betty (Potter) Harmon who survives.
In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her husband, James A. Freed, whom she married on Nov. 3, 1979, her children, Amanda R. Freed, of Lewistown, Reginal A. Freed and companion Keri Sowers, of Reedsville, and Ashley L. Fink and husband Jared, of Reedsville, grandchildren, Kaylee R. Goss, Brennan L. Pennington, Adam M. Freed, Emma L. Fink, Owen J. Deans, and Callie G. Fink, great-grandchildren, Lachlan Earnest, Theo Smith, and one on the way, Atlee Pennington, and siblings, Terry Harmon, of Lewistown, Cheryl Harmon, of Milroy, and Michael Harmon and wife Beth, of Belleville.
Kim attended St. John's Lutheran Church in Belleville.
She was employed as an accountant for many years, most recently for Mona S. Macknair Laser Acccounting, retiring in 2019. She enjoyed playing cards and board games, cooking, traveling to the beach with her family, and spending time at her river lot. She was a life member of the Yeagertown Fire Company, and the Lewistown City Hook & Ladder. Most of all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother, affectionately known as "Gaga", she will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday March 15, 2024, at King Funeral Home, 47 Carriage House Lane, Reedsville, with Pastor Teresa Fink officiating. There will be a visitation held at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until time of service.
