Glenn D. Ranck, 81, of McVeytown, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday March 27, 2024 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital in the Emergency Department.
Born Dec. 7, 1942 in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Jesse and Elizabeth (Kenepp) Ranck. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Anna Margaret Heckman-Byler, and Arlene Clark.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife, JoAnn (Grassmyer) Ranck, whom he married on Dec. 24, 1960, his sons, Gregory Ranck and wife Tami, of Lewistown, and Roger Ranck and wife Julie, of Ambler, siblings, Eugene Ranck and wife Audrey, of Pine Glen, Leon Ranck, of McVeytown, and Robert Ranck and wife Rita, of Mechanicsburg grandchildren, Justin Ranck and wife Kellyn, Jessica Everly and husband Anthony, Emily Ranck, and Owen Ranck, and great-grandchildren, Kyler Everly, Kamden Everly, and Kalysa Everly.
He was a member of Pine Glen Church of The Brethren.
Glenn was employed as a carpenter all of his life. He enjoyed collecting Hess Trucks, and license plates. He was an avid Penn State Football and Wrestling fan. Most of all, Glenn loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren that he was so proud of.
A memorial service in loving memory of Glenn will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday April 1, 2024 at King Funeral Home, 47 Carriage House Lane, Reedsville, Pa 17084, with Pastor Connie Maclay officiating. Interment will be private at Juniata Memorial Park.
