Elton Paul Gehman, 66, a lifelong resident of Thompsontown, entered into rest at 12:46 p.m. March 24, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.
Born on May 31, 1957 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, he is a son of Jacob and Olive Gehman of Manheim, Pa.
Elton leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Grace (Kreider) Gehman. Also surviving are two sons, Gerald, husband of Melinda (Deemer) of Mifflintown; and Elton, (fiancÈ of Norleen Brubaker) of Metter, Ga.; three daughters, Phyllis of Newmanstown, Pa.; Barbara, wife of Jason Hostetler of Kenton, Ohio; and Crystal, of Manheim, Pa.; four grandchildren; three brothers, Harry (Miriam) of Mifflintown; Virgil (Irene) of Ewing, lll.; and Myron (Mary) of Mifflintown; three sisters, Iva Lynn (Jerry) Kreider of Manheim; Hazel (Sam) Yoder of Ewing, IL; and Faith (Mark) Yoder of McVeytown; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, J. Russell Gehman.
Mr. Gehman was a lifelong dairy and crop farmer and was a member of the Millerstown Mennonite Church.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the Millerstown Mennonite Church, 731 Raccoon Valley Road, Millerstown, with local ministers officiating. Interment will follow at the Delaware Mennonite Church Cemetery, Thompsontown.
A viewing will be held from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at the Millerstown Mennonite Church.
