Ellen L. "Pinky" Starr, 73 of Lewistown, passed away at 5:14 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. She was born on Dec. 26, 1950 in Lewistown to the late Guy Ward and Sarah Jane (Haight) Ostrander. She was the wife of Gary L. Starr.
Ellen leaves behind her daughter, Breena "Bree" Zannino of Lewistown; grandchildren, Brandon Zannino and partner, Dorothy, Kirsten Silks, Logan Silks, and Mason Royer; great grandson, Evan; siblings, Robert Ostrander of Lewistown, Sandra Ostrander Fogarty of Alpharetta, Georgia, and David Ostrander and wife, Rebecca of Navarre, Florida; nieces and nephews, Lisa, Laura, Joseph, Sarah, Shane, and Emily; former spouse, Michael Zannino and wife, Patricia, and longtime best friend, Sharon Roselle.
Ellen was a member of the former Yeagertown United Methodist Church. She graduated from Chief Logan High School in 1968. She enjoyed tending to her vegetable and plant garden, reading, cooking, singing, crafting and catching up on her television shows.
A viewing will be held from 6-6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2024 at King-Barr Funeral Home LLC, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown. The service will begin at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor Chris Lutz officiating.
