Beverly A. (Wheeler) Muckel, 71, of Lewistown, passed away on Wednesday March 20, 2024 at William Penn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Jan. 27, 1953 in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late James R. and J. Arlene (Kreps) Wheeler.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Robert B. Muckel, whom she married on July 28, 1986; her children, Kimberly S. Alford and husband Philip, and Rhonda S. Smith and husband James, all of Florida, her siblings, Sharon Depew and husband Bob, of Mifflintown, James Wheeler and wife Verna, of Virginia, and Carol Mater and husband Kelly, of Lewistown, grandchildren, Joshua Alford, Jacob Smith, and Bryan Smith, nieces and nephews, Tina Shaeffer and husband Bradley, Brian Depew and wife Erin, Daniel Wheeler and wife Brittany, Rachel Garret and husband Daniel, Jeanette Kocan and husband Matt, and Alan Mater and wife Emily, and six great-nieces and nephews.
Beverly graduated from Chief Logan High School in 1971, and following graduation, she attended Ellen Cushing Junior College.
Earlier in life, she was employed at Phoenix Contact in Middletown.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lewistown, where she sang solos, playing piano and organ duets with her mother, Arlene Wheeler. She also enjoyed many vacations with family all over the country.
Private graveside services will be held at Lind Memorial Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to King-Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown.
