Charles "Charlie" F. Simonetti, 75, of Reedsville, passed away Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born Aug. 12, 1948, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Joseph D. Simonetti Sr. and Gay L. (Lash) Simonetti.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary "Tish" (Bubb) Simonetti; step-son, Tom Rager; and a brother, Joseph D. Simonetti Jr.
He is survived by; fiancee, Mary Sanders; son, Eric C. Simonetti and wife, Christine A., of Burnham; step-children, Scott Rager and wife, Karen, of N.Y., Kim Espinoza, of Lewistown, Holly Tate and husband, Scot, of N.C., John Rager and wife, Lisa, of Ga.; grandchildren, Maura K. Thompson, and husband, Cody, Gabe C. Simonetti; step-grandchildren, Nakita, Isaac, Rhiannon, Nathan, Lindi, Manuel, Cameron, Sora, Abbi and Riley; several loving step-great grandchildren; siblings, Donna Hood and husband, Donald, Robert Simonetti and wife, Donna, Allan Simonetti and wife, Marilyn, Cindy Brown, all of McClure.
Charlie was a 1968 graduate of Chief Logan High School.
He was a United State Air Force veteran and served from 1968 to 1972.
He was also a member of Mountain View Chapel in Reedsville.
Charlie worked as a mill operator and fork truck operator at Standard Steel in Burnham, where he retired.
He enjoyed woodworking and going on vacations on his motorcycle with his fiancee, Mary Sanders.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, 108 First Ave., Burnham, a funeral service with Military honors to follow at 8 p.m., with Pastor Dave Aungst officiating.
