Ronald Joseph Julian, 70, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Jan. 24, 2024, after battling brain cancer.
Ronald was born Aug. 30, 1953, in Apollo, Pa. In 1978, he married Lou Ann Milliken in Indiana, Pa. at Grace United Methodist Church. They were blessed with 45 years of marriage before his passing. He met Lou Ann at Indiana University of Pennsylvania while earning his master's degree. He earned his bachelor's degree in Spanish education at Edinboro State College. He taught high school Spanish at Susquenita School District, retiring in 2010 after 35 years of service.
Ronald was a member of the Derry Presbyterian Church in Hershey. He enjoyed spending time at the Leader Center for Active Life, and was an avid fan of Pittsburgh sports. Most of all, he was a devoted husband and loving father with three children and six grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Lou Ann; his children Marianne (Jason) Gamble of Lebanon, Pa., David (Jeanine) Julian of Gibsonia, Pa., and Timothy (Candace) Julian of Hummelstown, Pa.; grandchildren, Samuel, 14, Giovanna, 13, Daniella, 11, Molly, 10, Benjamin, 5 and Aurora, 3. He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Aurora Julian.
Funeral Services will be held at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, at Derry Presbyterian Church, 248 East Derry Road, Hershey with the Rev. Dr. Stephen McKinney-Whitaker officiating. A viewing will be held from 5:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral services at 6:30 p.m. on Monday at the church.
Additional Funeral Services for his family and friends in Juniata County will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with the Rev. Dr. Stephen McKinney-Whitaker officiating. Interment will follow at McCullochs Mills Cemetery, Honey Grove.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral services at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
