John W. Yetter

John W. Yetter, 92, of Hershey, passed away on Jan. 6, 2024 in Country Meadows of Hershey. He was born on May 5, 1931 in Newton Hamilton, PA, a son of the late David and Anna (Collins) Yetter and the youngest of ten children. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Glasgow) Yetter.

John along with his wife Louise had worked as house parents for Milton Hershey School. John also proudly worked in the greenhouse for Milton Hershey School and loved flowers and gardening. Many people loved his flower arrangements and beautiful landscaping both at his home and around the Hershey area. John was a US Army Veteran and was a member of the Hershey American Legion and VFW.

John is survived by; daughter Debra (Dale) Thomas; granddaughters, Heather (Josh) Hubert and Jessica (Chad) Deitrich; five great-grandchildren, Braylon and Lila Deitrich, Isaac, Elijah and Emmett Hubert and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 11:30 am in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory in Hershey. The family will begin receiving guests at 10:30 am. Interment with Honors will immediately follow the service at the Indiantown Gap National Cemtery, Annville, Pa.
