Helen "Jo" (Graham) Erdley, 91, a resident of the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown, and formerly of Huntingdon and Lewistown, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 8, 2023, at the Masonic Village, after a brief illness. Born Oct. 11, 1932, in Bellefontaine, O.H., she was a daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Yoder) Graham. She was united in marriage to Forrest C. Erdley, Jr. on Oct. 12, 1958, in Kenton, O.H. Mr. Erdley survives at the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown.
In addition to her husband of 65 years, she is survived by a son and two daughters, Michael Erdley and wife, Stephanie, of Fayetteville, Teresa Lee and husband, Jeffrey, of Elizabethtown, and Laura E. Rusk of Harrisburg; a son-in-law, Mark Thomas of Spring Grove; eight grandchildren, Rachelle Bethea and husband, William Bethea Jr., Jonathan Lee and wife, Lea, Cpt. Matthew Erdley and wife, Heidi, Kristen Beiersdorf and husband, Gunnery Sgt. Jon Beiersdorf, Tyler Lee and wife, Savannah, Ashleigh Lavoie and fiancÈ, Joseph Schuster, David Erdley, and Emily Lewis and husband, Justin; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Connie Graham; and a brother-in-law, Ronald Brown, both of O.H.. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Thomas in April, 2016; and siblings, Harry Graham, Ruth Snider, James Graham, and Eleanor Brown.
Mrs. Erdley was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Huntingdon, and formerly of the Reedsville Evangelical Lutheran Church, Reedsville.
She was a former member of the Women of the Moose #212, Lewistown.
Mrs. Erdley was a 1950 graduate of Kenton High School, Kenton, O.H.
She was employed as an Office Clerk at Big Valley Feed & Grain, Belleville, and retired in 1996 after 20 years of service.
Mrs. Erdley enjoyed crocheting, reading, playing BINGO, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and her dog, Jazzee.
Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until the hour of the memorial service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, at the John B. Brown Funeral Home, 417 Washington Street, Huntingdon, with the Reverend M. Suzanne Morelli officiating. Interment will be in the Machpelah Cemetery, Belleville.
